WICCA 303:  THE PANTHEONS

This section of the training teaches the students about the many different deities that are out there.  Dragon Moon Temple has its own specific set of 8 Deities that we pay homage to.  However, for the student, they must do a report in Dragon Moon Tradition of the 8 Deities of Dragon Moon Temple.  From there, they must do their own soul searching and find which Gods and Goddesses call out to them or match their needs.  We do NOT hold it against the student if his or her pantheon is different from that of the Temple.  We are all guided by someone and that someone may be different for each of us.  Below are the deities of Dragon Moon Temple:

01.  Draco

To get credit for this chapter, the student must acquire the list of prayers for the first booklet.  From there, he or she must acquire the actual prayers to construct their prayer booklet.  There is 25 Prayers that is part of Prayer Booklet 1.  There is also 25 Prayers that is part of Prayer Booklet 2.  When Booklet 3 is finished, there will be 25 in that Booklet as well.

There is no test on this chapter.  The student is responsible for constructing their Prayer Booklet 1.

WICCA 505:  ADVANCED RESEARCH

Wicca 505 gives the student a more expanded view of what we are doing.  We want them to expand with the data they are researching.  505 is a bit harder as you have to learn the basics of so many different topics.  This is where you get a foundation of the different tools and such that the members work with.  I have taken it to adding things like learning how to Archive and do computer work for the Temple.  With that being said, the current items of Wicca 505 is listed below.  Please remember from earlier that all members have done this research as well.

WICCA 606:  THE HISTORY

606 is all about the history of Wicca, Paganism, and Witchcraft.  I have the student look into 29 people that were prominent in the movement to help other remember the old ways.  Their legacy lives on every time some does a report on them .  At this time there is a list on the Forum of 23 people who made Wicca, Paganism, and Witchcraft what it is today.  My job is to make sure that the students know who they are.

Other than the historical figures, I have the students research other History.  They have to delve into the workings of  The History of Wicca, The History of Paganism, Druids Histories, The History of the lost art of Alchemy, and The Organization known as the Golden Dawn.

With doing the research on these topics I find that the students get a better understanding of what society has done, still does, and will do to us in the future.  I find that learning the history keeps us safer in the present.

List of Historical Figures to Research:

01.  Abramelin

There is no test for Wicca 606.

WICCA 707:  THE SET UP

This section is all about the student learning how to set things up for others and functions.  They will be taught how to set up a singular altar and multiple altars,  They will be give instruction as to what tools get used when and where they are placed.  From there, they will be taught how to build the structures for things like a Ritual Program or a Class schedule.  They will be given the full instruction from beginning to end.

By this time, the student should have a very solid grounding on how we do things.  They would have attended enough rituals and classes to know how things are generally run.  Uniform is essential when you have students who are learning the ropes.  Piling too much on them and expecting them to already know it is a little crazy,  I firmly believe that what I have established with my Google Pages, Facebook page and Group, and this website should be taken seriously into consideration as to how much they want to incorporate into their own organizations.

As with the other chapters, This one is momentarily set up.  There is always room for improvement or missing information to be added at a later date.  Below is a list of what the student will be learning at this stage of the game.

01.  Altar Set Up
02.  Archiving
03.  Calling Quarters
04.  Computer Filing
05.  The Elemental Symbols
06.  Food Preparation
07.  Magickal Tools
08.  The Planetary Symbols
09.  Programs/Bulletins
10.  Ritual Etiquette (refresher)
11.  The Runic Symbols
12.  Summon, Stir, or Call
13.  The Zodiac Symbols

This whole section is pretty much a test.  The student must pass each portion to the satisfaction of the group elders.  (Relax! It's not as bad as it sounds.)

WICCA 808:  THE HOST

This section is pretty cut and dry.  The student must be able to host one Sabbat, Esbat, and class without assistance.  They may assign tasks to people, but from beginning to end, they are the host and the ones responsible for what happens during the gathering.  If they can not, they simply just have to wait until the next scheduled time for them to try again.  They may do as many as they like until they feel 100% confident about what they are doing.  Upon completing this, the student must host a second Sabbat, Esbat, and class of the Elder's choice which they must host alone.

There is no test for this section.  The student must be able to host the required number of gatherings prescribed by the Elders to move on to the next section.

WICCA 909 - A:  THE DIVINATIONS

This section and the following 2 are pretty cut and dry.  The student must prove that they are proficient in 2 forms of Divination.  In my recent research mode, I discovered that there are 311 different forms of Divination.  So therefore, learning 2 of them should be that big of a problem.  The only way to pass your proficiency is to do a reading for one of the Elders.  If they say the student passed, then they passed.  After the initial showing, the student must keep in mind that the more they do it, the better they become at it.

There is no test for this chapter.  The student must prove to the Elders that they are proficient in their choice of Divination.

WICCA 909 - B:  THE SKILLS

Just like the forms of Divination, Magickal skills are many and varied.  It could be talking to the dead or seeing the future.  No one can  tell you that you don't have the skill.  The student must show the Elders that they have the skill, is proficient in its use, and knows how to prevent danger or damage.  Magickal gifts don't always work when you want them too.  I've seen myself not be able to use some of my for a couple of years before they resurfaced to let me know that they were still there.  In this instance, the student must show they can, take care of, and prevent the negative from backlashing if the seeker is a grump.

There is no test in this chapter.  The student must not only prove they are proficient in 2 forms of magickal ability, but they must prove they know who to tell and how much to tell.  They must also be knowledgeable in how to deal with those that don't believe and possible backlash.

WICCA 909 C:  THE CRAFTS

Just like with A and B, this section has multiple ways to prove that you can do it.  Some people enjoy being a hedge witch or a kitchen witch.  Some like the full power of the magus.  There are many forms of crafts that one can do to help the Temple.  Some may want to study herbs, others may want to work with stones.  There are those that will want to make magickal tools or weapons and some that just want to work on spell casting.  There is no limit to what one can do if they just put their minds to it.  So just like the other 2, the student must show that they are skilled in 2 different forms of Temple Crafts.

There is no test for this portion.  The student must show that they are able to work in certain crafts.

WICCA 1010:  THE MENTOR

Wicca 1010 is making sure that the lessons we taught the student gets passed on to others by the student.  We call the student working in this section a Mentor.  Sometimes we have to wait for a student to come in before we can pair a new Mentor with a new student.  The Mentor of a students is now in 2 parts.  First the Mentor must sit with the new candidate and coach him or her through the Introduction Booklet.  This is done with an Elder observing the technique and style.  If something goes wrong during that time, the Elder can step in and assist the Mentor.  The last thing we want is to run off a potential member.

Once the candidate decides that they do in fact want to train under our Banner, the Mentor then starts giving the new student the parts of the Training Manual that they are allowed at that time.  From there, the Mentor AND student must keep in touch with either the Archivist or The High Priest.  This way BOTH students get credit for their work.  For a Student to get credit for this portion of the work, they must train a student of  their own to 1st Degree.  Once that students gets their Degree, then the Mentor gets his 2nd Degree and his first lesson for 3rd.

Keep in mind one very important thing.  In this life, we are all teachers and we are all students every minute of every hour of every day and so forth.  There is no end to the learning, thus there is no end to the teaching.

This portion of the training is closely monitored by the Elders.

WICCA 111:  THIRD DEGREE BURN

WICCA 1212:  ARE YOU HIGH ENOUGH

This last section covers Wicca 1111:  3rd Degree Burn and Wicca 1212:  Are You High Enough.  These are the last of the tests that a student has to do before we give them the hard invasive tests.  The tests are kept secret from the student until they get JUST ONE.  When they finish that one, they come for their second one and so forth and so on.  For 1111 and 1212 there are 20 secret tests or projects that the student must do.  At the same time, 1111 is doing their elemental workings while 1212 is doing the last 3.

You are probably wondering why are we keeping them a secret!  It is my personal opinion that if they are seriously wanting to go all the way to the top, then they should get used to being put on the spot.  They should also be able to handle a situation without warning as one never knows when something will occur.  Thus we keep some of the lessons a secret until they need to know.  This gives them the experience they need when they are running their own group or taking over for a sick comrade.

So with that being said, the philosophy is:  Life is a mystery to those that won't take the challenge.  Therefore so are the last lessons.  I will only say that there is 20 for each and they are nothing dangerous at all.  I know when I was going through mine that I was exhilarated when I was done with one project and then racing to the next.

So in conclusion, there are 5 elemental sets of work to be done.  The Student trying for 3rd Degree will get their element and the opposing as the Elders explain what the jobs are and such.  Some may already be done by the time the student even makes it to that point.  On top of their elemental duties, they have the 20 mysterious duties to complete as well.

Earth
Water
Air
Fire
Spirit

Each has as many as 8 or 10 on them.  I caution to just take your time and methodically work through them.

In conclusion I wish to thank each and every one of you that has stopped to read my workings and beliefs.  If even one chapter of mine catches your eye as a way of doing things for your group, then I consider it a job well done.
