This eighth document tells the interested party that there are rewards that comes with the work being presented. Dragon Moon Temple normally gives certificates to the student depending on what the reward is for. There are 6 different colored Certificates and each one means something different.
Dragon Moon Temple and Her Affiliates enjoy rewarding our hard workers. I know from personal experience over the last 17 years that I enjoy the look of pride in a student’s face when they are handed a certificate for a job well done, or some other deserved recognition or praise. Therefore, I have got a blank copy of all of my certificates I am going to describe what kind of performances goes with which color.
The colors are in order by Rank: White Yellow Blue Green Red Purple
Please note that from time to time someone who is skilled with photo shop or some other type of creating a page type format can create a beautiful certificate with pictures and such. I, however, am not skilled with photo shop much to my dismay and that of my sister who tried to teach me. And Here We GO!!
Due to it being cheaper to get photo copies on white paper, as compared to colored paper, I used these for things such as: Getting a high score on the tests given. Going above the call of duty to help the Temple out. For bringing something new to the group to learn together. Introducing us to a new way of doing something that makes it easier.
Generally, this color Certificate is for the smaller things that you can do with the group.
The Yellow Certificate is a little harder to earn as the student has to actually do a lot of work to get them. Each student that graces Dragon Moon Temple can earn up to 6 Yellow Certificates. How you want to know? It’s rather simple really!
1. Finish Wicca 101: The Basics in its entirety. This will include taking and passing the Definitions Test. 2. Finish Wicca 202: The Holy Days in its entirety. This will include taking and passing the test. 3. Finish Wicca 303: The Pantheons in its entirety. This will include taking and passing the test. 4. Finish Wicca 404-A in its entirety. This means you will have to find and make a booklet of the prayers that are in our first Prayer Book. Face it. This is the easiest Chapter in the training Manual. 5. Finish Wicca 505: Advanced Research in its entirety. This will include taking and passing all 3 tests. (Symbols of the planets, The Elder Futhark in order in their Aett, Symbols of the zodiac. 6. To get the final Yellow Certificate, you have to have finished Chapter 1 – 5. From there you let us know if you want to be promoted to 1st Degree or not.
That’s it folks. That’s how you get the Yellow Certificate.
The Blue Certificate is even harder to earn as the student has to actually do most of work to get them. As they are going for a higher level in rank, it would only seem logical that their work load would be fuller and more rigorous. Each student that graces Dragon Moon Temple can earn up to 6 Blue Certificates. How you want to know? It’s rather simple really!
1. Finish Wicca 606: The History in its entirety. 2. Finish Wicca 707: The Set Up in its entirety. There is a test, but it’s mostly to see if you have been paying attention to where the Elders set things on the altar and so forth. 3. Finish Wicca 808: The Host in its entirety. You must host 2 Sabbats of our choice, 2 Esbats of your choice, and 2 classes of your choice. 4. Prove that you are proficient in 2 choice from Wicca 909 A, B, and C. This means you have to prove to the Elders that you have Divination abilities, Magickal gifts, and know certain things in the Coven Craft portion. 5. The fifth one I try and work around as much as possible. This one means you have to teach a student to 1st degree. If no student are available, we make other amenities for the person trying to complete this chapter. 6. To get the final Blue Certificate, you have to have completed Chapter 6-10. From there you have to let us know if you want to be promoted to 2nd Degree.
That’s it folks. That’s how you get the Blue Certificate!
This certificate is all about the student going for their 3rd Degree. There is only one Green Certificate that can come out of it. The lesson plans are a surprise for the student. If they are going for 3rd Degree you can bet they are going to go all the way. The lessons are given to the student 1 at a time. By this time they should be proficient in Chapters 1 through 10. They should be willing to step up to the plate at any given time if one of the Elders is sick or away on business. The person trying for a Green Certificate is pretty much the honor guard of the Elders until they complete the work that the Elders have for them. The only hint that I will give is that the person must do all the jobs on their Elemental Lessons and the opposite. This is why I call it Wicca 1111: Third Degree Burn!
This is the last Certificate where they have to do something in order to receive it. The name of this particular piece of training is called Wicca 1212: Are you High Enough. Naturally a Red Certificate means you made it to the status of High Priest or High Priestess. Once they receive this Red Certificate, there is little that we could teach to the student that they aren’t knowledgeable to find for themselves. With Wicca 1111 they had to do 2 of the 5 Elemental Degrees. Trying for the title of HP/HPS, you have to complete the following three with a list of other things they have to accomplish if they want the coveted title.
This last Certificate is rather odd in who gets one. The entire Coven (in that area that is) has to unanimously vote to let you become an Elder. There is NO OTHER way to get this coveted Award. The person trying for it has to prove they have the Coven/Temple in their dearest regard. They have to be totally faithful to OUR community and only want to do what’s best for it. The vote of Elders to assign a new Elder has to be 100%. OF course that Elder will have to explain why they are denying one that worked hard to get where he or she is at in that moment.
At this very moment, there are only 3 Elders here in Las Vegas. There is 1 in Pennsylvania, 1 in Ohio, and 1 in Oregon. We care for our members just as much as we care for ourselves.
